Direct Haul LTD - Terms and Conditions for Carriage Services
1. General Terms:a. All carriage services provided by Direct Haul LTD are subject to the following terms and conditions.b. "Client" refers to the party contracting Direct Haul LTD for carriage services.
2. Loading and Unloading:
a. Loading up to a maximum of 1 hours, are included in the quoted price.
b. Unloading up to a maximum of 1 hours, are included in the quoted price.
c. Any time exceeding the initial 1 hours will be subject to an additional charge of £60 per hour.
3. Late Payment:
a. Payments are due as per the agreed-upon terms in the invoice.
b. In the event of late payment, the following charges will apply:
Debt up to £999.99: £40.
Debt from £1,000 to £9,999.99: £70.
Debt of £10,000 or more: £100
4. Interest Rates: In case of late payment, interest will be charged at the rate of Bank of England base rate + 8% per annum.
5. Insurance Coverage:a. Direct Haul LTD provides insurance coverage of £1300 per tonne for goods during carriage.b. If the client requires higher coverage, it is their responsibility to arrange for additional insurance or request a quote from Direct Haul LTD.
6. Payment Terms:a. Invoices must be settled within the agreed-upon timeframe specified in the invoice.b. Direct Haul LTD reserves the right to suspend services or terminate the contract in the event of persistent late payments.
7. Dispute Resolution:a. Any disputes regarding invoices or charges should be communicated in writing within 15 days of receiving the invoice.b. Direct Haul LTD will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes amicably and promptly.
8. Cancellation and Rescheduling:a. The client must provide a minimum of 48 hours' notice for the cancellation or rescheduling of services.b. Cancellation of services will incur a fee amounting to 100% of the original quoted price.
9. Liability:a. Direct Haul LTD will take reasonable care of the goods during carriage, but the client is advised to arrange suitable insurance for their cargo.b. Direct Haul LTD will not be liable for any loss, damage, or delay caused by circumstances beyond its control.
10. Governing Law:a. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
11. Amendments:a. Direct Haul LTD reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions. Clients will be notified of any changes in advance.
By engaging in business with Direct Haul LTD, the client acknowledges and agrees to abide by these terms and conditions.
